Influenster Holiday Voxbox Product Review

Yay my box arrived a couple of days ago. I was happy it arrived right around Christmas :-) I love surprises and this box was full of them. I had no idea what I was going to receive. Actually, I thought they were sending me a box of chocolates because a bunch of other members said they got one. I already got a box of a variety pack of Ferero Rocher chocolates from someone for Christmas so I'm glad I didn't get another one... This is what was inside:                                                   Kiss Nail Dress Nail Strips in Teddy They're black with golden jeweled drops on them. I love the way they look. I had to open them and try them out right away because the just looked so cool in the package. The package came with: 28 strips that can be used for fingertips and toes and a mini nail Emory board. They can be stuck on your nails in a couple of minutes and are supposed to last about 10 days. Wondering how they are applied?  It's pretty simp

Bzzagent Review On Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream -Great For Hands And Nails Too

If your skin gets super dry and cracks during the colder seasons, I can totally relate. My skin gets dry, especially my hands. When I say dry, I mean ashy, cracked and scaley. My hands almost look slightly reptilian. Ew. I know. As a bzzagent I was offered the opportunity to review Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula Hand Cream and I checked the mailbox everyday in anticipation of it arriving. Then, it finally arrived. My hands just happened to be extra dry that day, so of course I ripped the box open, looked over the official bzzguide and found the tube of lotion that was mine to keep. As you can see in the picture, not only did I receive my very own full sized bottle, but some little samples to share as well. The full sized bottle looked smaller than I had imagined it would be, (only 2 OZ), but the bottle says "just a dab heals dry skin." I'm sorry Neutrogena, but have you seen my hands before? OMG right? OK, so those are two before photos. And I knew there

Oh The Holidays

Haven't posted up too much  in the last few days because I was busy with all of the holiday madness. Helping the family search around for Christmas gifts, some decorating, cleaning up around the house and scheduling a Christmas family with my in laws and my family. I cooked some stuffed mushrooms that came out pretty good. I love mushroms. My mom made a turkey lasagna with some garlic bread. My fiance's mom made a smoked turkey, a couple of spinach salads, some veggie sides, and some yummy desserts. I got a variety of pita chips, hummus and other dips to add in as well. There was so much food and it all looked great but I did pretty good as far as portion control. I mainly ate the salads and veggie sides, pita chips and hummus. I had a few of my mother in law's desserts be a use she is an awesome baker and makes these delicious rocky road bars and brownies.  I just had a few, I swear...hehe Anyway, we all ate, talked, watched movies and sat around exchanging gifts. It was

BzzAgent UPDATE On Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Face Care Line

Just thought I would create an updated post on one of my favorite products that i received for FREE from Bzzagent. I am still hooked on the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration face care line with Clary Sage in it. And with the crazy temperatures flucating from hot to freezing here in Texas, you better believe that I need a product like this line that can keep my face super soft. Otherwise, my face would probably be peeling pretty bad right about now. Now I try to use the Intense Hydration Cleanser in the morning and the evening every single day. I find that it works best if I use a little plastic scrub pad (from an old loreal face cleanser--it's oval shaped and meant to be used with a different face wash that really didn't soften my face as well as Burt's Bees). I squeeze a little bit onto the scrub pad and massage it all over my face, slowly. Then I leave it on for a couple of minutes and rinse it off. It removes my makeup, makes my skin feel fresh and leaves it amazingly

Influnster UPDATE on Head And Shoulders Damage Rescue

I finally got a chance to use the Head and Shoulders Damage Rescue shampoo and conditioner after coming home from the gym with dirty, sweaty hair. I had a really good workout--took 3 classes in a row so my hair was pretty nasty. Believe me, I was more than happy to wash it as soon as I came home. And I was also excited because I love trying out new products...(in case you didn't read my previous posts, I'm a member of Influenster and received 2 full sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner COMPLIMENTARY--i love being a member! Back to my review... Let me start by talking about the shampoo. It is a 14.2 FL OZ bottle! The bottle states that it "leaves hair up to 10 X stronger, conditions to nourish damaged hair, helps relieve dryness, locks in moisture, relieves irritation, has a rich nourishing formula with 3 conditioning ingredients, is gentle and pH balanced and can be used on color treated or perms, and also helps get rid of dandruff." - wow after reading a

Influenster Review On Head And Shoulders Damage Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner

I'm always happy to try new hair products, especially ones that are supposed to strengthen and repair your hair. I was happy to hear that I was going to be receiving another voxbox and it was going to contain full sized bottles of shampoo and conditioners. Now, if you've read my most popular lens on squidoo- -http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-straighten-really-curly-hair , you would know that I gave up using liquid shampoos and most liquid conditioners a long time ago, for several reasons. However, I am very curious about this particular product and would like to know if it would actually decrease the frizz in my hair, strengthen and repair it, and also remove the tiny bit of dandruff I recently started getting. I received my voxbox from Influenster for FREE of course, recently, to keep, use and review, so that is exactly what I'm going to do. I wish I could actually say that I've already used the shampoo and conditioner but I can only wash my hair two-three days a

BzzAgent Review on Alpha-Bits Cereal

My latest campaign as a Bzzagent was for Alpha-Bits cereal. Do you remember this stuff? Add caption When I was a kid my mom used to always buy this cereal for us. It was actually one of my favorites. No, it's not like many of the sugary cereals. I kinda think it's a lot like Lucky Charms without the marshmallows (I love lucky charms by the way...). Anyway, I loved the taste back then and I still do today. My son had never tried this cereal before but I was sure he was going to love it too. When it came in the mail, I opened the box and there was an Official Bzz Guide, a page of $1.00 off coupons, and a FREE full sized box of Post Alpha-Bits cereal. My son saw me opening it and ran over. He saw Super Why on the box and got really excited because he's a fan of PBS kids and the show.   He wanted me to open the box right away. I poured some on a plate. (He likes to eat his cereal dry and drink a cup of milk most of the time--He's silly like th

Have you heard of a Pyramid workout?

I finally joined Instagram a few days ago and started looking at different fitness pages. I saw so many about these pyramid workouts--is that what they're called? Anyway, the one I decided to try was on a girl named #shelbythacker 's page. She has some great workout posts up and impressive ABS so of course I was up to trying it out. The workout consisted of 40 Russian twists with weights, 30 second plank, 20 crunches, 10 leg lifts, 20 crunches, 30 second plank, 40 Russian twist with weight. It didn't sound too hard and I commented telling her that I would be adding it to my normal workout schedule. Since it is a beginner's workout, she told me to feel free to add in something else if I wanted to, like 50 in and outs. I actually aaded in 50 side crunches and 100 jumping jacks. I usually do 100-200 jumping jacks every other day, whenever I have free time around the house. They're great for a little extra cardio! So, I did the workout the day before yesterday and I

OIAJ (Oats in A Jar)

Oats in a jar, also known as oiaj has been all around the web. Have  you  heard if it yet?   I found out about oiaj while browsing through more fitness pics on instagram. So many people are posting up their very own varieties. Still have no idea what I'm talking about? Let me explain. It's actually pretty simple ( Here's how I made mine. Feel free to change the ingredients to your liking... 1. You get an empty jar--glass is best or you can recycle an old peanut butter or jelly jar. 2. You make 1/4 c- 1/2 c oats--either in microwave, on the stove, or just let dry oats soak in milk or water. If you are putting the oats in warm, it's best in the glass jar, because you don't want to heat or melt the plastic kind. There is no certain way to make your oats. Make them how you normally would. You can put fruit, honey, sugar, almond milk, soy milk, etc. I personally add whatever fruit I have, honey, peanut butter and 1/2 scoop of my plant protein powder. 3. Let it

Loving the Gym

I went to the gym on monday---did body combat and body pump with a 15 minute break in between. Those classes were awesome ad usual! I'm pretty proud of myself because I upped my weights for each set we did in body pump. I almost didn't because I wasn't sure I was ready, but I pushed myself. I also pushed myself in body combat . Today I took body pump again (same weights-yay) and then Cx worx. Zumba was cancelled because the instructor had a medical emergency. I decided that I would make up for that catdio by running a couple of miles on the treadmill and then "climbing the hill" on it. I set the incline function to really high and climbed, climbed, climbed. It was all a great workout. I just kept thinking about all of the beautiful girl ABS and arms I've been seeing online. Hell, if they can do it, then I know I can too! I would absolutely love to have a nice hard midsection...My fiance' has an incredible body so I would like to look a bit better. He t

Twilight

Yes, I will admit that I read every Twilight book in less than a week ( I read so many books and am really fast at it...) When I first saw a copy of Twilight, I was shopping around at Walmart and walked past the "apple in hands" cover. I was like, "What is that book about?" Not sure why the cover caught my eye, but it sure did. I don't even really like apples...  I read the back and thought that the book sounded like something I would like to read. I'm actually more of a horror novel fan, but I do love vampires and occasionally I like to read books about romance. I didn't hurry up and buy the book though- just didn't have enough money on me that day, and I had more important things to buy. I even completely forgot about it for a few months. Then, one day I was at one of my friend's birthday parties and I saw his little teen sister sitting on the sofa reading the "apple in hands" book. Suddenly, it all came back to me. I remembe

Talking While Asleep

Have you ever heard someone talking in their sleep? Could you understand what they were saying? Did you try to say anything to them and did they respond? I'm asking because my fiance' is a frequent sleep talker. I mean he talks multiple times a night and also practically every single time he falls asleep. At first I thought that maybe it was due to something he ate or because of stress, but no. He does it no matter what he eats or what has happened throughout the day. Most times it will wake me up...over and over. Most times the words are very clear. At other times he sounds like he's speaking another language. Sometimes I like to respond to whatever he is saying. Sometimes he'll answer back. Funny right? Sometimes I can't sleep because he just won't stop talking. Sometimes I'll stay up for a little bit just to see what he is going to say. Sometimes the things he says are about work. Sometimes he'll be talking about

BzzAgent Review On COVERGIRL Blast Flipsticks

So I received yet another great product to review, since I'm a bzzagent. This time it was a makeup review-yay! Like many girls, I love makeup...especially when its FREE. I'm pretty sure you've heard of the brand, Covergirl...I've bought several Covergirl products and have been pretty happy with them. I can't really think of any particular one that I've had any problems with in the past. I've seen so many commercials and magazine ads about the Covergirl Blastflipsticks and my younger sister actually owns a few so I kind of knew what to expect. I was excited to try it out. Honestly, I've never been too crazy about any particular lipstick. (I mentioned this in another post that I wrote.) However, after trying the Blast flipsticks, I think I may have finally found one lipstick that I really like and will definitely be buying in the near future. In this campaign's buzzkit that was mailed to me, I received an official buzz guide with Sofia V

My Favorite Vlogs on YouTube

Do you like watching Vlogs? Or are you sitting there wondering what the hell a Vlog is? Vlog=a video blog Vlogs are becoming more and more popular everyday. I love watching them on youTube. I eventually want to have my own but I need to come up with some more interesting things to talk about. My current favorites on youTube are: http://www.youtube.com/user/dope2111  (Promise Phan's channel full of amazing makeup transformations. This girl can transform herself into virtually any celebrity or character. She also has some great regualr makeup tips.) http://www.youtube.com/user/grav3yardgirl  (Bunny is a very outgoing and funny girl who talks about her thrift store and other hauls, product reviews, paranormal activities, beauty tips, and more. She cracks me up with her awesome sense of humor. Fun At The Gym

I love working out but hadn't been to the gym in a few years. So for as a Mother's day gift my fiance' got me a gym membership. I was ecstatic. Haha You know, at first, going back to the gym made me feel a little nervous because the one I am a member of is a it bigger than what I'm used to. Luckily, they have a Women's Only area that is smaller but still has a lot of great gym equipment in it. Also it's great because there are no big roid-raged men gawking at you while you work out...(i'm kidding, of course, not that all men that go to the gym are on steroids. I know there are a lot of guys that go to the gym who have never touched steroids and just eat healthy and work out, which is great.) Anyway, I would workout in there 2 to three times a week for only an hour a day. I'd get on the treadmill, the elliptical machines, the stationary bike, and the captain's chair. Then, at home, I'd do some yoga on the days when I wasn't at the gym. Wa

Love writing as much as I do?

If you love writing about all kinds of things like me then maybe you should try writing some online articles. There is an endless amount of sites that allow you to do so and you might just make a little bit of money doing it.  Here is a list of a few great ones: Squidoo  (the one that I write for and absolutely love) eHow Helium Triond HubPages I personally have only written for Squidoo and I used to write articles for  www.associatedcontent.com before it was changed to Yahoo Voices. I have not written for the others that I listed but I have both heard and read some great things about them.  If you want to just write about anything and everything simply because you can enjoy it, you can try writing for any of those sites or even just create your own blog. You can use it as your own public diary---remember though, there are millions of eyes out there that will see your writings, so keep that in mind.
