Influenster Holiday Voxbox Product Review

Yay my box arrived a couple of days ago. I was happy it arrived right around Christmas :-) I love surprises and this box was full of them. I had no idea what I was going to receive. Actually, I thought they were sending me a box of chocolates because a bunch of other members said they got one. I already got a box of a variety pack of Ferero Rocher chocolates from someone for Christmas so I'm glad I didn't get another one...
This is what was inside:

Kiss Nail Dress Nail Strips in Teddy

They're black with golden jeweled drops on them. I love the way they look. I had to open them and try them out right away because the just looked so cool in the package. The package came with: 28 strips that can be used for fingertips and toes and a mini nail Emory board. They can be stuck on your nails in a couple of minutes and are supposed to last about 10 days.
Wondering how they are applied?
It's pretty simple--First you should make sure your nails are clean. The box says to clean them with alcohol or nail polish remover. Next, you should file and smooth your nails. You might notice that they smell a bit like nail polish when you open the box. No big deal though. It's not as bad as when you use actual nail polish, in my opinion and i have a pretty good sense of smell. Now you can hold the clear sheet over whatever nail you are going to start with. Do this BEFORE you remove the strip from the clear sheet so you won't end up wasting a strip. Next, stick it on your nail, not on your cuticle and smooth it down. Fold the excess over your nail and use the nail file to file away the excess. Be careful not to file over the part that is staying on the nail...Do this for each nail and you're done!
Very easy and they look cool. I do have a slight complaint but it's really my own fault. You see, when I was covering my thumb nail, I kept having to peel it off and restick it on my nail, wasting the stickiness on the back. Also I think I filed it a bit more than I needed too because it peeled down a little when my thumb brushed up against something. Not fun. At least there are extras so i can apply a new one if it completely peels off. Other than that, I really love the way they look. Will they last a full ten days on my hands? I doubt it. Actual nail polish never lasts more than a couple of days because I use my hands at the gym, wash a lot of dishes, and do a lot of things that tend to scrape the paint off. These things will never last on me but they are very fun while they are on. Yes, I will be buying some other ones in the near future. They are great for when you are going out on a date or wherever and very quick and less messy than nail polish.
UPDATE**I've had them on for about 5 days and most of my nails are still covered. I've gone to the gym, prepared foods, cleaned the house, washed a lot of dishes and washed my hands and most of them have only been slightly affected. It looks a bit like chiped nail polish around some or the edges. If i really wanted to fix them, I guess I could always use a regular black polish around the edges and no one would even know the difference! I still love them because they have last longer than traditional polish on my fingernails and I've also gotten quite a few compliments on them.

I also made a tutorial on youtube on how to apply them, in case you're interested. You can view the video by clicking here----->How to Apply Kiss Nail Dress Strips

Sole Society Discount Card
I've never heard of the Sole Society before receiving this box, but the card says they've been around since 2011 and have "exclusive, high-quality, on trend shoes starting at $49.95. The card is for $25 off! I'm hooked on shoes so I went to the website to look at what they had to offer. They had some nice shoes and some other shoes I would never wear, but I do know quite a few people who would love several of the pairs the site has. There's a pair of knee high black boots that i really like on there but they cost around 90 dollars and 25 dollars off is not much for that price. Will I be buying any shoes from the? Not anytime soon and the coupon code expires in January.

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City
I've said it in previous posts...I love lipgloss. I was very happy to get a free one and happy that it was in a nude shade instead of something too dark or too bright. I like the way it looks on my lips. It's very shiny goes on soft and smoothly, and I like that too. I'm not too crazy about the way it tastes though. Wish it was flavored. It's also a little sticky, (although on the tube it says non-sticky, but most lipglosses are. I think that I might buy another one after it runs out.

Quaker Real Medleys Apple Walnut Oatmeal

Don't laugh but this is actually one of my favorite things in the box. I eat oiajs (oatmeal in a jar) every day, so getting some more free oatmeal made me smile. And the flavor combination sounded yummy even before I had even tried it. Did it taste great? Of course. I love cranberries, apples and walnuts. I added a little cinnamon and yum. What else is great about this stuff? It's got whole grain oats in it, barley, rye, wheat, big fruit chunks and crushed nuts. It's a single serving with only 290 calories. Very convenient because you can just add water (I added unsweetened vanilla almond milk) and you can microwave it for 45 seconds and then take it on the go. Love everything about it so yes, I will be buying some more very soon.

Goody Quikstyle Brush
Doesn't it just look fun to use? I love big brushes so I love the size of this half round one. It has very absorbent antimicrobial microfiber bristles, which is great. It can be used on all hair types according to the package, and helps to remove 30% water when using it on wet hair. The box says you can go from "soaked to styled faster than ever"--that sounds great because after I wash my super curly hair I like to try and dry it was quickly as possible so that i can straighten it.
How did this brush work on my super curly hair? I brushed my hair while it was dry and it worked just ad well as my other huge Goody flat brush. The real test will be how it works when my hair is wet. I will be using tonight after I wash my hair and blow dry it. I will post an update later.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masque in Fruit Smothie Raspberry & Mango-

I've used a couple of these masques in the past but have never tried this particular one. I loved the other ones so I knew I would love this one too. I used it tonight after getting home from the gym. The raspberry mango scent smelled delicious as I was applying it. It went on smooth and thick. There was quite a bit in the pack so I had a little left over. The directions said to kept it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off, so that's exactly what I did. It did harden a bit and feel tight on my face as it was drying. I love it when masques do that...I rinsed it off and was extremely happy with how soft and smooth it left my skin. Love this product. Buying another one ASAP.

Eboost Pink Lemonade Powder Mix--
I added this to a bottle of water. First, I drank about half a cup of water from the bottle because it says that the packet is for 12 OZ. Anyway, after that I just poured the powder in, shook it, and then let it sit for a while. I took a sip and at first I was like, "This isn't too bad, but I think it would taste better cold." I put it in the fridge until it was a bit colder and then started drinking the rest.
Was it delicious?
In my opinion--No. In fact, it was very citrus-y. I didn't really like that. I did drink the entire thing because I wanted to see if I would get an energy boost. (Normally energy drinks work pretty quickly on my tiny self), but I didn't feel any different. I felt like I just drank a bottle of fizzy lemon water. I don't plan on buying any of these anytime soon.

That's all the products that came in the box. I know my review was a tad bit long, but I wanted to make sure to tell you everything that I loved and hated about each item.

So happy that I joined Influenster. I received everything in this box complimentary and all opinions expressed are my very own. No I am not being paid by the company or anyone else.

Moving is almost rarely enjoyable. I mean, you have to pack up all your stuff just to unpack it again somewhere else?
