Have you seen the movie, V/H/S?

I have been hearing a ton of hype about the movie VHS for weeks now. My sister couldn't stop talking about how people were telling her to watch it too. Yesterday a friend of mine said I really had to watch it and said that it was a creepy movie so naturally I searched for it on Netflix and found it. He told me to make sure to watch it when my son was out of the room since it was pretty disturbing. I waited until my little one fell asleep and put it on for my guy and I. At first I thought the movie was going to be pretty lame since it started off with people filming one another doing stuff. So many movies do this, and bore me... Blair Witch Project, Cloverfield.... you know what I mean? But things changed fast. Within the first half hour I was getting ready to cover my eyes. Demonic faces/ distortions freak me out. I don't want to ruin the movie for those of you who haven't seen it, but this girl's eyes were tripping me out. I just knew something weird/freaky was bo

Emmy Rossum Sentimental Journey CD Review

As a member of the One2One Network, I was recently given the chance to review Emmy Rossum's CD, Sentimental Journey.  Have you ever heard of Emmy Rossum before? I didn't recognize the name at first but when I saw her face I remembered who she was. I had no idea that she not only acts but also sings! If you watch the very popular show on Showtime called Shameless, starring William H. Macy and Justin Chatwin, then you probably recognize her.She was also in the movie The Day After Tomorrow and Poseidon.  She's also starring alongside Emma Thompson and Viola Davis in the upcoming feature film, Beautiful Creatures, which will be in theaters February 13th  ( something I actually really want to see).  She was also a guest on Conan yesterday, will be on Chelsea Lately today, and will make an appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on February 6, 2013. Well, anyway, she is pretty multi-talented. Her CD, Sentimental Journey, which was ac

Montagne Jeunesse Deep Pore Cleansing Masque Review (Influenster)

I mentioned that I received a Holiday Voxbox a few weeks ago and of my favorite products that I was given the chance to try out for FREE was a Montagne Jeunesse Masque. They make several different types of masques for various skin types as well as skin issues. The particular one that I received was the Fruit Smoothie Deep Pore Cleansing Masque in Raspberry and Mango. Sounds pretty delicious doesn't it? The name appealed to me very much since I'm actually a big smoothie lover. But no, you can't eat these! This masque does smell really good though... Since I love to try out different skin products, especially for my face, I was very happy to try this one out. I read the directions on the package and did exactly what they said to do:   I cleansed my face (washed off all of my makeup with soapy water and patted my face dry)   Ripped open the packet and applied it thickly on my face. (It smelled so good) I made sure to avoid my eye and mouth areas... 3. I

Pulling Out Some Teeth

As a child I was always terrified of going to the dentist. And no, it wasn't because I had a really horrible experience.  Well, not one that I can remember.  I think maybe I was scared because I watched as my sister got several injections in her mouth. I can't remember what the procedure was, but i don't remember her ever getting fillings or having an extraction. All I can recall were the needles being put in her mouth... I had severe Belonaphobia (don't know if i spelled that correctly but I'm talking about the fear of needles). So, seeing a series of injections being put into my younger sister's mouth freaked me out. Anyway, one day, years later the dentist told me I was going to have to have a tooth pulled because it grew out in an odd place and I kept putting it off. It wasn't visible when I spoke, nor did it bother me or cause me any pain, so I never got it pulled and even avoided gong to the dentist once I no longer had dental insurance... Dumb idea,

Verizon Redbox Instant (Bzzagent)

I was offered a 30 day trial membership to Verizon's new program, Redbox Instant, thanks to Bzzagent recently. I rent DVDs from the Redbox kiosks often so I thought, why not? The selection in the kiosks is usually alright. They have a fewer newer releases, several older movies, and now they even have game rentals available. The rentals are a little over a dollar a day. All you have to do is use a credit or debit card at any Redbox kiosk location around your town and you can pick any of the movies, both blu-ray and regular, that are available. Not all kiosks have the same movies and the reason for this is because you can return your DVD rental to ANY kiosk. Many of these big red kiosks are located at Mc Donalds, Walgreens, Walmart, your local grocery store, gas stations, and more. How convenient right? About the online membership Like I said, I was allowed to try out the program for free. I also got 4 FREE DVD rentals of my choice! After the trial ended, I was to

Firmoo Prescription Glasses Review

My regular pair of glasses lasted about an entire year and finally broke last month. I also wear contacts but contacts can't be worn all day and night. I needed to find a pair of glasses quickly and they had to be very affordable. I searched online like I normally do, for the best deal possible and came across a site called Firmoo and saw that they had this awesome deal where you can enter a coupon code and get your first pair of glasses (from selected styles, of course), for FREE! All you pay is shipping and also for any add ons, (more about that in a minute). I knew it would be way cheaper than going to an actual eye place around town. It's very easy to create an account and if you already have a facebook account, you can use that to log in with.--- Just click on the little facebook symbol at the top and login. Here are some of the coolest things about the site: First pair of glasses is free for new customers (from a big selection of glasses that they picked) code

Review on Manic Panic Hair Color in Wildfire

I've said it on my post popular lens on Squidoo and I've told a number of people that I would never use anything on my hair to color it other than henna. Well, surprise, surprise... I've had a change of heart. I have good reasons too. My hair was henna'd over a month ago with a red henna shade and turned to a cherry brown from  Henna King . It left my hair soft and shiny and in better condition than it was before. I liked it. I really did. However, I've been on the web a lot lately and I've become obsessed with a more intense red hair color. (I used to dye my hair red all the time when I was younger, but since I was bleaching my hair, I was also frying it pretty badly.) I got tempted to try and do it again. Safely--without the bleach. Now, of course I did some research on the safest hair coloring formulas I could find and surprisingly Manic Panic ended up sounding like a really good option. Here are the great things that I learned about their hair color

More Sleep Talking

I think that I mentioned a little bit about my fiance's constant sleep talking in a previous post. I haven't really posted up much about it because I can't always remember the things that he says. The funniest part is that I've been catching myself waking up mid-sentence in my own sleep! So, we have been having conversations in our sleep. Too funny. Let's see...what can I actually remember him or us saying? The one that I can remember the best and happened the day before yesterday: I woke up to him saying "We gotta go get those f***ing guys. We gotta go get take care of them. You ready to do this baby?" I could kind of see in the room because light was already coming in through the window and he was gesturing with his hands and looking towards me...get this...with his eyes OPEN. Is that creepy or what?  so what did I do? I jumped out the bed and started getting dressed. I was like, "Alright lets go take care of this then. I'm read

Sole Society Shoes (Influenster)

Are you obsessed with shoes? You might not know this but I totally am. I'm so obsessed with shoe that I catch myself staring at anyone's shoes who walks by me. I don't know what it is, but I do it all the time. I guess I'm just a bit of a shoe freak. In my complimentary Influenster Holiday Voxbox, I mentioned in a previous post that I received a card from Sole Society that had a discount code for $25 off of my first pair of shoes. I'm going to share this code with you all in case you would like to try the deal out yourself. The code is INFLUENSTER25. Feel free to use it on your favorite pair. The shoes start as low as $49.95, but you have to hurry because that deal will expire on January 31, 2013. Big Eye Contact Lenses

Have you ever heard of Big Eye contact lenses or Circle Lenses before? They're pretty popular. There's a picture of one at the top of my blog (UNIQSO big eye contacts) I've bought a few pairs in the past in quite a few colors and I absolutely loved them. They come in all different colors and they are really cool contact lenses. They have very unique color blends, unlike many of the US brands. I've bought pink, grey blended with light violet, silvery black, black, intense gren, and blue ones. They also make your eyes look a lot bigger, which is one of my favorite things about them. I have bought a few pairs from a couple of different websites before but I recently stumbled upon one website that has amazing deals on their lenses. Right now, here are a few that they are offering: Buy 2 get 1 FREE (on select pairs) Buy 1 get 1 FREE (on select pairs) Spend $30 and up and get a FREE gift .Barbie Ash Series Lenses for $9.80 per PAIR! Is it just me?

I have OCD. It has been something that I've tried to deal with since childhood. I used to count everything- windows, doors, spots, cracks, lines, lights...everything! I also always had to have all of my things in a particular order. I'd move something or use something and then it would go right back in the exact same spot and I hated if anyone messed that up. I couldn't touch certain textures or stand certain sounds... Today, I rarely count things but occasionally I catch myself doing so. I am very annoyed by certain sounds. I try very hard to ignore them, but doing so only makes me focus on them even more. I hate the sound of people eating, the sound of someone whistling, nail biting, the cracking of knuckles, and people chewing their gum loudly. I absolutely also hate it even more when sounds are repetitive. These sorts of things drive me insane and I don't really know why. I get so annoyed that I'll even leave the room sometimes just to get away from the s
