Techno Cardio Coach Follow-Up

Hello everybody! So, I've been doing the Techno Cardio Coach program that I mentioned in a few previous posts. It's been a pretty busy week and a half but I've been doing the HIIT training that is talked about in some of the e-books available. I try to incorporate it into my workouts at the gym- I listen to the audio tracks while on the stair master, treadmill, and stationary bike. I listen to it while I'm walking and running around with my son at home (yes, extra exercise). The music is great and the coaching added in is a good touch too. I've also found the eating tips very helpful. I already eat pretty healthy but it helps to know how to eat even healthier! Have I lost any pounds? Well, after looking at the scale and noticing no pounds have been lost, at first I was a little dismayed. But, after trying on a few different outfits, I realized that I actually have lost a few inches! Remember--the number on the scale doesn't always mean anything. It do...

Need To Lose A Few Pounds? I Know I Would Love To!

When you hear the word METABOLISM , what comes to mind? Do you know if you have a fast or slow metabolism? Does this affect your weight? Can you change your metabolism? So many questions, I know... Let me start off by explaining what the word metabolism means. According to the  Mayo Clinic , metabolism is "the process by which your body converts what you eat and drink into energy." Yes, I'm sure that you may have heard of many different supplements out there that claim to speed your metabolism up, but at what cost? Horrible side effects! Is it truly worth it? Of course not, especially when there's a way better way. Did you know that there are act...

Fun At The Gym

I love working out but hadn't been to the gym in a few years. So for as a Mother's day gift my fiance' got me a gym membership. I was ecstatic. Haha You know, at first, going back to the gym made me feel a little nervous because the one I am a member of is a it bigger than what I'm used to. Luckily, they have a Women's Only area that is smaller but still has a lot of great gym equipment in it. Also it's great because there are no big roid-raged men gawking at you while you work out...(i'm kidding, of course, not that all men that go to the gym are on steroids. I know there are a lot of guys that go to the gym who have never touched steroids and just eat healthy and work out, which is great.) Anyway, I would workout in there 2 to three times a week for only an hour a day. I'd get on the treadmill, the elliptical machines, the stationary bike, and the captain's chair. Then, at home, I'd do some yoga on the days when I wasn't at the gym. Wa...
