How To Kilem With Style Thanks to Kilem Kollectibles #kilem #beadedjewelry

I'm a beaded jewelry kind of lady. I've loved beaded jewelry since I was a little girl.  I even used to make some of my own when I was in high school and in college. There are so many different things you can do with beads. I recently had the privilege to work with a wonderful company called Kilem Kollectibles and they sent me two beautiful pieces of jewelry to review.  I picked out a chakra bracelet as well as onyx and tiger eye prayer beads that can be worn as either a necklace or stacked bracelet. I was also sent a cute little storage bag and cleaning cloth. The chakra bracelet has beads in each chakra color, which are the colors of the rainbow. What are chakras? Basically energy spots that are within our body. Just type the word into google and you will get a billion results. I have studied chakras for many years, and jewelry like this is usually made to help you focus on and balance each one in your own body.  Whether it works or not, I coul...

Making My Life Easier With My #HiveActivePlug #letsgetliving #ad

Raise your hand ladies and gentlemen if you've ever forgotten to unplug something and you've already left the house. Yeah, you know who you are! I'm not judging, okay? I've been there. I've a very busy mommy of two. I can forget things like that from time to time. Then, guess what? I've ended up having to drive all the way back home to unplug things like my flat iron... Oh, not fun. Especially when we're on a schedule and trying to get somewhere on time.  Such a pain. So, what have I learned? First off, double check all of the electronics before leaving home. Also, though, to make things even more simple, I've been using my #Hive Active Plug. I've mentioned my Hive products before. This is one of my favorites because it has been used in so many different ways. No, not just for your flat iron or regular iron. You can use it for your slow cooker or crock pot. I've done this because although they can cook all day safe...

Julep 5-in-1 Corrector Magic #julep #sponsored #cushioncomplexion

I had never tried the brand Julep before. I'd heard great things though.  After being given the opportunity from Crowdtap, to use a few different Julep Cushion Complexion 5-in-1 Correctors and learning that they are cruelty-free, I will definitely be buying more of their products soon. I was sent five different shades. I'm very happy that they sent a variety, because my skin is always a bit hard to match. Aren't these tubes pretty? I love the overall design.  This is what they each look like when opened. You twist them from the bottom and the product comes out through the top cushioned pad. You might need to twist it quite a few times in the beginning to get it started, but after that, I've found that you only need a bit of product to get the job done. I like that a lot. Here's a pic of me using it while out and about. We were staying over at someone else's place, while on a trip. These tubes are extremely convenient because of the...

Grow Your Own Superfoods at Home

I am a huge veggie and fruit addict. I've wanted to have my own garden for years, but have just never gotten started on it.  This Sow & Grow Seed Starter Kit that I received last week to review is a good way to get into it.  This is the Superfood Seed Starter Kit. It comes with seeds for leeks, brussels sprouts, kale, and beets. Biodegradable pots, markers for labeling each pot, and expandable soil discs are also included, along with a very helpful instruction guide. It's good for beginners because the guide walks you step by step, telling you when to sow, germination time, and where to plant.  Since I homeschool my kids I thought that this would be a nice science project for us all to work on together.  They're as excited as I am.  We started with the beets. It was fairly easy to do. I only wanted to start on one, so that I can make sure we are doing everything correctly. As soon as I see this one sprouting, I plan on starting on t...

Hot Pink Senegalese Twists Synthetic Hair Extensions #Kisspat

In one of my latest posts, as you guys can recall, I talked about my love for wigs and extensions. They are just so much fun.  I was sent some beautiful hot pink and black Senegalese Twists synthetic extensions from Kisspat. Check them out! Aren't they pretty? Twenty came in the pack. There are also a few other colors available. I would seriously love to get every color they have and put them all together in my hair. You know, like a rainbow effect? I think that would be so cool! In the pics above, I wanted to show you guys that I installed them in one of my human hair wigs, since my natural hair is a lot shorter than these extensions. I used some tiny rubber bands so they are easy to remove. You could also have them sewn in, braided in, crochet them in, or use some sort of pins and clips to put them in. I plan on eventually having them braided in when I re-install my dreadlocks. I've tried some of their hair chalk as well as other extensi...

The Bike Is on The Wall! #bike #bicycle #home #wall #holder #Storage

I know, you read the title and you're thinking, "What?" It means literally what it says. The. Bike. Is. On. The. Wall. So, let me tell you what happened the other day. Try not to laugh, alright? Well, I was trying to clean and reorganize our messy garage, and I tripped over my son's bike. Then, guess what? I tripped over my husband's bike. Alright, I guess sometimes I can be a little bit accident prone... If only there was some way to keep them out of the way and save me from banging up and bruising myself again... My prayers were answered shortly after that. It's as if the universe heard my cry. I could not wait to try out this bike holder that I was sent. The day it arrived in the mail I seriously wanted to run into the garage and drill some holes in the wall to install it.  I didn't that particular day, but eventually I got it up there. This is a side view of it mounted onto the wall. Yes, it came with the mounting sc...

I Love My #BeautyForever Synthetic Wig

I have gone back to wearing a lot of wigs these days. Why, you ask? I'm trying to let my natural hair grow out. You see, I tend to mess with my real hair a bit too much when it's down, with dyeing it and cutting it and applying heat to it. It's healthy, but if I keep messing with it too much, it won't grow so fast, especially if I keep cutting it! Quick solution for me is to wear a wig. And a pretty wig at that. Have you ever worn a good wig? Now, I'm not talking about those cheap Halloween wigs that you can buy at Walmart. I'm not talking about those wigs that you can tell are fake and they get tangled up right away. Those can be so annoying and itchy. OMG. No. My newest wig is from Beauty Forever and although it is synthetic and not human hair, I'm very pleased with it. It has a body wave and is very curled when you first get it. To loosen it up and make it a bit more realistic, I finger comb it and give it a light brushing before...
