Moisture Boost

Your skin gets moisture from various sources, from you consuming water, using moisturizing products, and from the environment. Making sure your skin gets adequate hydration means that you can give it what it needs to perform its daily functions easily and not become dehydrated because even oily skin can be dehydrated.


Pay attention to the products you are using and ensure they have the right moisture-boosting properties and ingredients for your skin type, whether facial moisturizers or body creams. Drink plenty of water, and if you live in drier climates, consider using a humidifier at home or in your workspace to increase moisture; aiming for 30 to 50% humidity in your space can help alleviate dry skin.


A Healthy Diet

Your skin needs a variety of vitamins and minerals to help you protect your body and stay healthy. Zinc, Omega-3, Vitamin B, Collagen, Vitamin D, and Biotin are just a few of the essential vitamins and minerals your body needs on a daily basis.


Including a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables along with oily fish, lean meats, beans, and pulses can help you give your skin and your body what they need. Top skin-boosting foods include;


  • Strawberries

  • Kimchi

  • Seeds (sunflower and flax)

  • Fatty fish

  • Avocados

  • Spinach

  • Yogurt
