I know you guys are all ready to see what awesome books I received in this month's bookcase from Bookcase.club.
Well, here's what I got!

Obviously the theme of this particular box is magic. I love this.
Have you watched The Magicians on the Syfy Channel on cable? Well, I started it a while back, so seeing this book on the left is pretty neat, especially since I do enjoy watching the series.
This is book one of the Magicians Trilogy.
The Magicians by Lev Grossman
Synopsis
Quentin Coldwater is brilliant but miserable. A high school math genius, he's secretly fascinated with a series of children's fantasy novels set in a magical land called Fillory, and real life is disappointing by comparison. When Quentin is unexpectedly admitted to an elite, secret college of magic, it looks like his wildest dreams may have come true. But his newfound powers lead him down a rabbit hole of hedonism and disillusionment, and ultimately to the dark secret behind the story of Fillory. The land of his childhood fantasies turns out to be much darker and more dangerous than he ever could have imagined....
The Magicians is one of the most daring and inventive works of literary fantasy in years. No one who has escaped into the worlds of Narnia and Harry Potter should miss this breathtaking return to the landscape of the imagination.
I've gotten through the first few chapters and just like the t.v. series, I'm enjoying the story line. I would love to finish this book and then read the other two in the trilogy.
A DIscovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
Synopsis
Deep in the heart of Oxford's Bodleian Library, DIana Bishop-- a young scholar and the descendant of witches-- unearths an enchanted alchemical manuscript. Wanting nothing to do with sorcery, she banishes the book to the stacks. But her discovery has set a fantastical underworld stirring, and soon a horde of daemons, witches , and other creatures descends upon the library. Among them is the enigmatic Matthew Clairmont, a vampire with a keen interest in the book. Equal parts history and magic, romance and suspense . A Discovery of Witches is a mesmerizing and addictive tale of passion and obsession that reveals the closely guarded secrets of an enchanted world.
I'm a avid fan of books about witches, so I have no doubt in my mind that I'll be able to curl up on my chair and enjoy this book. I like the synopsis. I like the way it all sounds with the witches, daemons, and vampires. It just sounds even more interesting. Oh, and romance and suspense?? Sounds very, very intriguing. I can't wait to dive in.
