I'm not going to lie, I can be a little clumsy sometimes when I'm cooking, so yes, I have accidentally sliced a finger or two before. Not fun at all. Who wants to bleed into a meal they're preparing? That just all kinds of unsanitary. Have you ever tried Happy Fingers Gloves before?
Company's Product Description
- Made of food grade vinyl: Dyneema, steel wires, spandex, and dacron
- Antimicrobial
- Safe to use with food
- Can be washed in dishwasher
- Comfy
- Cut resistant, not cut proof
These gloves fit my hands well and are thick, but not suffocatingly thick. They are still comfortable on my hands. They don't make it tough to cut foods up, which is one thing I wondered about before actually trying them out. I've used them while cutting up veggies and the knife has never broken through either glove. I'm aware that they are not cut proof but they are thick enough to protect your hands quite a bit anyway.
You know what else they're good for besides in the kitchen? If you don't want to use them in the kitchen, you can also use them in the yard while gardening and they will protect your hands really well. The reason I know this is because I have another pair and it's what my MIL uses them for! Nice, right?
That is really great. Perfect gift for anyone who spends a bit of time whipping up meals in the kitchen or likes to work in their garden.
