I don't travel too often but my Mother in Law does for her job. She often takes a few bags with her and is always trying to make sure that her bags are not going to be to heavy for her trip. I thought that this digital luggage scale would be the perfect gift for her so that she could use it before leaving on her trips. 
I gave it to her and she was really happy and couldn't wait to try it out. She was actually supposed to leave on a residency out of state that weekend so she made sure to put this digital scale to use. I watched as she did it and it worked perfectly. It lights up and is very easy to read. It's light enough to carry around in a pocket or bag or can be stored in a drawer until ready to be used again. 
She also loved that it came with a mini luggage lock. Those always come in handy.
