I'm nearing 34 weeks pregnant as we speak. I'm on bed rest and I've been reading a lot of books lately, especially books related to pregnancy and babies. Yes, I've been pregnancy once before, but that was almost 7 years ago. It can't hurt to read up on the subjects and refresh my memory, as well as learn new things for this pregnancy and birth.
The book, Mommy Greenest Guide to Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond was written by a woman named Rachel, who is also the owner of the Mommy Greenest Blog, which is actually a really great and informative blog for all you parents out there.
I can't get enough of it- there's information and tips on healthy living, parenting tips, eco-friendly beauty, fashion, and products.
It's no surprise that her book is filled with a lot of the same. I read it in only a couple of hours today and found it to be extremely appropriate for my current stage of pregnancy. I also felt like I could relate to many parts throughout the book, unlike I have felt when reading many other books on the same topic. Many other books I have read seem to be filled with very outdated or tips that I simply disagree with. I didn't feel this way with Rachel's book at all. I do feel like I learned a few more helpful tips and suggestions that I will be using after bed rest in a few weeks as well as during labor, and after my baby girl is born.
I highly recommend this book to women who are hoping to be pregnant, are currently pregnant, and who have just had a baby. It's even a good read for grandparents and husbands/boyfriends, looking to educate themselves a bit about pregnancy, birth and beyond, so that they can assist the mommy-to-be.
