When you spend as time in the kitchen as I do, you definitely need to have a pair of good oven mitts available. My old ones just wore out not too long ago since I was using them several times a day for months.
I've now been using these Oven Mitts below.
Company's Product Description
- Comfy to wear
- Indoor/outdoor use
- Can be used with oven and barbecues too
- High quality and long time wear
- Silver coating for extra heat protection
They don't have anything too fancy on them, except for a logo on one side, some red trim, and silver backing. Simple-I like that. I'd like them even if they had no logo, because their purpose is mainly just to protect my hands.
I like how well they protect my hands when I'm pulling things out of the oven. Also, great when I'm trying to move some hot pots off of the stove.
I have also used these on the grill outdoors when we grill, and to pull things such as hot potatoes and corn on the cob from the oven.
These mitts are the perfect size for my hands. They're roomy, but not too big, so they are very comfortable. They are thick enough so that I seriously do not feel the heat from whatever I'm handling. Very important. Now, you're probably thinking, don't all oven mitts do that?
NO.
I've used some in the past that were so thin, I'd burn my hands every time I touched stuff that I'd cooked. Not fun. No way. I've also had mitts slip off my hands, resulting in more burning of my skin. Ouch. Not good either.
I haven't had these problems with these gloves one bit. Perfect.
