My husband does house remodeling with his dad. I used to help pretty often in my spare time, but now that I'm pregnant, I'm taking a long break.
I do, however, search for tools pretty often that I think would be beneficial in some way, for his line of work. I had never heard or seen a temperature gun before trying out the MeasurePro IRT20 Temperature Gun.
This is what the LCD screen looks like when you are taking the temperature of any surface or object. It likes up pretty brightly and is very easy to read. It has three buttons on the bottom- laser on/off button, Celsius/Fahrenheit switch, and backlight off/on button.
The device runs on a 9 V square battery.
This device is great. My husband and his dad were thrilled to try it out and keep since it makes it extremely easy to get the temp of something without having to actually touch the surface. Sometimes things are simply way too hot for them to physically touch.They both agree that it has and will continue to come in handy when they are working on houses. They use it for electrical issues and they have even tried it on my father-in-law's car.
I tried it in the kitchen and I like how simple it is check how hot the grill is or a pan that I am using. I used to hate trying to estimate it on my own and then undercooking or overcooking something.
This temperature is just plain convenient in so many ways.
