Petunia Skincare Derma Roller--A Must Have For Beautiful Skin!

I'm not going to lie. When I first saw this product I said, "Oh my gosh, that looks like a rolling pin cushion. I'm supposed to roll that across my skin on my face? I'll bet it's going to hurt pretty bad!"

My mom looked at me and said, "You're silly--you've had how many piercings and a tattoo, and you're scared of a few more needles? Seriously?"

She definitely had a point there. I toughened up the next night. After I took a shower and thoroughly washed my face, I decided to give it a spin. I barely touched my skin with it, and very slowly increased the pressure as I rolled it up and down 10 times on every area of my face, left to right 10 times, and diagonally 10 times.

Did it hurt really bad? No. The only spot that I have found to be the most sensitive since I've been using it is my forehead. However, after I get through rolling it up and down on every inch of my forehead, by the time I get to the side to side rolling, I can barely feel the needles at all. I believe that this is simply, in my opinion, because the process of derma-rolling is very much like accupuncture. After a while, endorphins are released in my system and I can't really feel any pain. Actually, after a bit of rolling, probably by the time I am doing the diagonal rolling, the slight prickly feeling has turned into something more pleasurable. It is a soothing feeling for me.

My skin does get a bit red afterward, which is why I do it at night so I don't have to go out like that. What I found to be most impressive about the Derma Roller is that after the FIRST use, I used one of my Vitamin C Serums like I normally do, and it was absorbed into my skin extremely quickly. I kept thinking this was amazing because normally I find myself rubbing the serum in for a while before it's fully absorbed. Also, I felt my skin and there was a huge noticeable difference in the way that it already felt! I applied some Hyaluronic Acid Serum and a moisturizer.

I'm very surprised at how much I ended up loving this product. I had no idea that I could get such good results from such a scary looking product. I seriously find myself looking forward to using it every week. (I've been using it 1-2 times a week). The texture of my skin is ultra soft now and I haven't even used it that many times. INCREDIBLE product.

After using this product for several weeks, I am still extremely happy with it!

I always make sure to clean it with some rubbing alcohol and then antibacterial soap and hot water and let it air dry.
