My Thoughts
First off, let me say, that this product is for ENTERTAINMENT purposes only. Although it may reveal one gender, this does not mean that you should hurry out and buy baby products according to whatever gender the results come out to.
This kit comes with two tests. The packaging is not as the picture shows but in a box with a clear cover that clearly shows everything included. I didn't mind this too much, but I do feel a cuter packaging would be nice. The instructions are easy to follow. It is very similar to using a pregnancy test- you collect some urine early, when you get up in the morning, add into test tube and mix the crystals in the tube for a bit. Then a color is revealed. Either a greenish blue for boy and pinkish purple for girl. Simple. It also comes with a blue balloon and a pink balloon to use if you are having a gender reveal party. Although, like I said, this is for entertainment purposes, so maybe a gender reveal party with this test shouldn't be taken 100% seriously.
I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and took one of the test a couple of weeks ago, really early in my pregnancy. The result that I received was boy, but I plan on taking the other test in a couple of weeks and comparing to my actual ultrasound that will be a bit more accurate. (This is a few weeks from now, but I will do an update here to compare results, just for fun)
I like this test even though it may or may not be accurate because it's entertaining. Many pregnant women that I have known love this sort of thing because it is fun. Maybe it will be correct, may it won't be. There's a 50% chance and even at times ultrasounds can be wrong!
Either way I enjoyed using it and think it makes a cute gift for an expecting mom or at a baby shower.
