My Thoughts
I like yacon syrup. I wasn't too fond of it when I first tried, but that was simply because I wasn't used to the taste. After consuming it on a regular basis, I became accustomed to it's sweet, but not overly sweet taste. You know what I like about it the most? I would swallow a spoonful when I'd get a sweet craving and then after a little while, my craving would be gone. That's nice because well then I wouldn't eat those much unnecessary sweets. Of course doing this would keep me from adding on several extra pounds!
It can be taken solo on a spoon a few times a day or you can use it the way you would use sugar or agave syrup---in your coffee, tea, on pancakes, waffles, in some recipes, etc.
I even suggested my mom start using it, and she did, because she's diabetic and can benefit from using sugar alternatives that are healthier for her. She has been using it pretty often and she says she likes it compared to many other alternatives that she's tried.
Good product to try if you're trying to consume less actual sugar.
