I've played practically every board game out there. I love board games. They've always been something that I enjoy playing with my family and friends on a rainy day, when we're bored, when it's too cold to go outside, or even just because.
I've never actually played a board game quite like Abundant Harvest for Kids though.
This is everything that comes included in the box. A colorful game board, a set of Principle cards, sticker labels for each game piece, scenario cards, point cards, 8 game pieces, and a die.
These are the principle cards that you can tear apart and hand out to each player.
These are the sticker labels that go on the front and back of each game piece
These are the various scenario cards. There are child scenarios, parent scenarios, and school scenarios in this game
This is just an example of one of the school scenarios
Overall, this game is yes different, but a great game to play WITH your kids. They have definitely benefit from playing this game since the various scenarios picked throughout the game do make you and your child think. The point is to learn how to make better decisions when in certain situations. Then, you and your child(ren) discuss the possibilities. Therefore, both you and your child learn how to communicate better. This is an awesome idea, especially since your child(ren) is going to have to face several different events in their lives and they might not always know the right thing to do in such situations. By playing games like Abundant Harvest, they can seriously learn!
My son is only 6 years old and although he is slightly younger than the suggested age range, he seemed to enjoy the game and I enjoyed playing it with him since he did ask a lot of questions.
I can see this game working very well in a school setting, church group, kid camps, and just at home together as a family.
