I cook quite a bit of food everyday. We don't eat red meat but we do eat chicken and fish and quite often I worry about whether or not I've cooked it all the way. What better way to figure that out than with a good food thermometer, right?
I was sent a free digital food thermometer from Eat Smart to review.

My Thoughts
I love the color red so this was perfect for my kitchen!
This is the step-down probe to stick into the meat and check the temperature
This digital thermometer is nice. It's a pretty color and has a brightly-lit blue display with big numbers when checking the temperature. It is very easy to use.
I like how when you extend the probe it turns off and when you fold the probe back in, it turns off.
It comes with a nice nylon case that is anti-microbial as well---major points there! I always make sure to clean the probe with a little bit of hot soapy water, dry it, and then store in the handy little case in a kitchen drawer.
It works very well and I'm very happy with it, especially since now I don't have to over cook the meat just to make sure it's safe to eat (I know, a silly thing to do, but I get paranoid that I'm going to make someone sick sometime) I can cook the food to the perfect temperature and everyone's happy!
