I was recently given the opportunity to review another product from Ozeri. I have tried out a few of their other products before, such as their Extravo Electric Wine Opener and their Large Green Non-Stick Pan and was so happy with both great products.
Anyway,
I like to stay fit as much as possible. In order to do this, I stay as active as I can. I walk, run, skip, jump, dance....whatever I can to get some extra steps in. I used to have a pedometer to keep track of all the calories I burn, but that device is long gone.
I was really happy to try out their 4x Motion Digital Pedometer.
Product Details (according to company):

My Thoughts
At first I opened it and noticed it was a cute black pedometer but no way to wear it! Made me a little disappointed. But, then I said, oh well, let's just try and set it up.I'll stick it in my pocket when using.
I decided to look for the instruction manual in the tiny box, and guess what else I found? A strap for wearing and a tiny screwdriver!
(everything that comes in kit: strap, instruction manual, pedometer, mini screwdriver and battery already installed)
Silly me--I hadn't read the side of the box that clearly states that there is a timer, battery strap, and instruction manual included. No mention of the cool little screwdriver, but it only makes sense, since i order the replace the already installed lithium battery, I'll eventually need the screwdriver.
Alright so the strap attaches to the top right corner. It took me a couple of mins to thread it through, but I got it.
I like how long the strap is and the fact that you can wear it around your neck, but this is not great when running because it smacks me on the chest. Not cool. When I run I put it in my pocket and it's fine.
If I get tired of wearing it around my neck, it has an easy to release clasp along the strap. Nice!
I like that it only has 4 simple buttons on it, so no it's not too complicated. The four buttons are Set, Mode, Up arrow, Down arrow.
You can set your weight (w), stride size (s), year/month/day, hr/min, 12 or 24 clock. After this, you hit SET and it's ready for use.

The pedometer has a good size LCD screen and is a good size overall. I absolutely loves that it has a blue light as well.
I feel that the pedometer's motion sensor does accurately count every step I make--no matter what kind I choose to take. I've used it both around my neck and in my pocket. Great, both ways.
Easy to use, seems pretty durable if dropped, and very light weight.
It has a great auto shut off function after 30 seconds of no movement--this will definitely preserve it's battery life.
And Split Mode is mentioned in the description, which is a pretty cool function in which you can use to count the number of steps taken between 2 points. The manual says that it can be "helpful for counting the steps for an event" as well. I still have yet to try this.
Oh yeah, and I do like the fact that it can keep your steps in its memory for up to one whole week. Very nice.
I'm very happy with yet another Ozeri product.
This would be a great gift for runners or really anyone who wants to keep track of their steps throughout the day.
Can't wait to try out and review another Ozeri product very soon!
