Stillwell by Michael Phillip Cash Book Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I'm always thrilled to read a new book by an author I've never heard of before. There are so many good ones out there!
I was sent a copy of the book, "Stillwell" by Michael Phillip Cash.

Genre:
Horror
Suspense
Thriller
Ghost
Paranormal

Synopsis:
Paul Russo's wife just died. While trying to get his family's life back in order, Paul is being tormented by a demon who is holding his wife's spirit hostage on the other side. His fate is intertwined with an old haunted mansion on the north shore of Long Island called Stillwell Manor. Paul must find clues dating back hundreds of years to set his wife's soul free.

My Thoughts on This Book:
I'm obsessed with reading books about ghosts and other paranormal activity. (It's the main reason why my husband and I wrote our own paranormal novel...)
This book is not too long- a little under 300 pages. I finished it in two days- couldn't really put it down.
Now, it wasn't the scariest thing that I've ever read but it did have a few minor creepy parts. I do wish it was a bit scarier, but I still enjoyed it.
Michael Cash is a very good writer. The book is paranormal mixed with a love story. There were several times when I thought it was so sad. I felt really bad for the main character-Paul Russo- at times because he really misses his wife throughout the book. He feels like he is falling apart. He loses his wife and hasn't worked much, he's having trouble trying to be strong for his 3 kids. He's having nightmares, seeing things, hearing things, and to top it off his youngest daughter claims to be seeing his wife around. To make matters even worse, in order to turn their lives around financially, he has to try and sell a haunted mansion that is also somehow connected to his life. Paul just can't seem to catch a break. Is he losing his mind or is his wife really trying to reach out to him???
This book is a bit of a surprise. I didn't expect things to turn out the way they did. The ending was not bad.
Yes, I'd like to read other books by Michael Phillips Cash.

This book is more for older teens and adults. There are some adult situations throughout.

I was also sent this cute Stillwell key chain and awesome skeleton key that I attached to the ring as well. Clever little gift that I really like! It's the key to the Stillwell Mansion :). I like when author's do things like this..

8 Packing Hacks When Moving

Moving is almost rarely enjoyable. I mean, you have to pack up all your stuff just to unpack it again somewhere else? You eat off of paper plates with plastic utensils for your last week because you know your kitchen takes the most to pack. You shift boxes around for weeks while you try and continue living in your home. It’s just not fun. Certain things can make it more enjoyable or at least easier, however. For instance, if you have found a great apartment for rent center city or similar, then you might find that this takes the sting out somewhat.
