Much-Ado About Mango Dried Fruit

They sent me a full sized pack of the dried fruit as well as a coupon to try out another flavor for FREE.
My diet mainly consists of veggies and fruits. I eat a vegetarian diet and mostly gluten-free 5-6 days a week. On my cheat days, I'll add in chicken or fish and maybe some ice cream. Anyway, I'm always happy to try out a healthy snack.
My husband loves dried fruit and has gotten me into it as well. We love dried pineapple, dried strawberries, dried mangoes, dried cranberries, and dried plums. We were both looking forward to this one. What I noticed first on the package was that there is no added sugar, no preservatives, or added oil. I was very interested in what they were going to taste like. My husband wasn't too excited. He thought they were going to taste very bland.
I ripped open the bag and poured some into the palm of my hand. They looked very dried out and a little weird but I wanted to taste them anyway. The first few that I ate tasted more tart than I would have liked, kind of like an unripe mango. However, some of the other pieces were very sweet and good. The texture was a little tough to bite into. My husband said the same thing. He really wasn't too crazy about them alltogether. I thought they were okay.
Would I try them again?
I would. Hey, they're healthier than a lot of stuff out there, right? I'm a health nut.........Well, actually, I would love to try a different flavor. I read that they even have apple cluster ones with mixed fruit in them. I'd love to try some of those. I just might buy the mango kind again if it were the only one available at my time of purchase.
