Personal Review on NOW Foods Spirulina and Chlorella

First off, let me start off by saying that I am going to be completely honest about the newest product that I have been using. There may be a few things that you consider TMI, but I'm just trying to be as honest as possible and not trying to offend anyone. I honestly don't think anything that I'm going to say is too bad, but I know everyone has their own opinion as to what TMI is. :)

I am Always looking for new natural products that can make me healthier. I'm constantly talking to other people about products, watching video reviews, dr shows, reading reviews online, and researching all over the internet for healthy ideas. I recently came across  two products: Spirulina and Chlorella.

Heard of these two dietary supplements?

Let me explain what I've learned about Spirulina:
  • According to Wikipedia and many other places that I have searched, Spirulina is a type of algae that can be consumed safely by humans. Can be found in Africa, Asia and South America.
  • Contains a high amount of protein, great for people who don't consume eggs or red meat, like myself
  • Great for helping manage a huge variety of health conditions
  • It's also rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and carotenoids
  • Can help regulate your digestive system
  • Can help you feel more energized and better focused
The list goes on and on and on. Seriously.

I just had to try it. I found a bottle of 200 tablets, 500 mg each online from a company called NOW Foods. I read several of the reviews before purchasing it, of course---I always do this first. I read several interesting reviews and I liked what I was reading. I knew it was something that I wanted to start taking.

The small round tablets are a very dark green color and to me they just taste like dry seaweed. Some people have a problem with the taste and think that they taste disgusting, but I eat dry seaweed chips every now and then. I don't mind the taste of the tablets one bit. They also smell the way that they taste.
The bottle says to take 6 a day. I started off 3 tablets the first 2 days, 4 tabs on the 3rd and 4th day, and so on, until I reached the maximum dose. I do this so that my body can adjust to the tablets gradually.

(I have been taking these two superfoods for a few weeks now)

I didn't feel much on the first two days but by the 3rd day, I broke out a little bit on my forehead and my cheek. I read online on quite a few different websites that this occurs because the Spirulina cause your body to detox, which means the toxins are going to come out of your body somehow. Sometimes you break out as the toxins are being flushed out. The breakout only lasted a couple of days and my skin started feeling more hydrated and softer.

I've also noticed that I have a lot more energy when I go to the gym and throughout the day, which is great for me. I can actually concentrate on things a lot better, which is awesome.

I love how I feel and my nails are growing so fast, I can hardly believe it. They're very strong and healthy looking. One of the greatest things that I've noticed while taking both Chlorella and Spirulina is the fact that they have helped me slim up a bit, erasing a few of the pounds I've been trying to shed for months!!! It also helps that I've also been eating an all fruit and veggie diet for the last few weeks as well.

Some people have complained about gastrointestinal problems. Others have stated that it helped regulate their BMs. Some have said it made them gassy and others have felt a little nauseated in the beginning. Honestly, during the first few days, my stomach felt a little upset and I felt as though I had to go to the restroom a bit more often than usual and I did feel a bit gassy (sorry again if TMI, but I think it's necessary to be as honest as possible with reviews) but I think it was just my bodies way of once again flushing out the toxins in my digestive system. I no longer have any tummy issues---they stopped within the 2nd week.

Final Thoughts?

I love both of these! I feel so good-it's insane. I feel healthier, happier, slimmer, more energetic, more alive. Nothing else I've ever tried has given me such great results ad in soon little time. I think that I might just have stumbled across the "magic little pills" that I've been in need of for years. I've already ordered a second batch. I will of course post up an update in a month or so to let you all know if there are any changes.

8 Packing Hacks When Moving

Moving is almost rarely enjoyable. I mean, you have to pack up all your stuff just to unpack it again somewhere else? You eat off of paper plates with plastic utensils for your last week because you know your kitchen takes the most to pack.
