The journey to getting whiter teeth has honestly been a bit of a painful one!
Every time that I've used the whitening strips, I've been okay, until hours afterwards. My teeth have gotten so sensitive that I have to take an Ibuprofen before bed just to cope. Maybe I'm a bit of a wuss? Maybe not. Not even the healing of my wisdom tooth extraction felt as uncomfortable.
Here are some picture updates of my teeth.
My camera died but I will be uploading the rest of the week's results. Ugh. My mouth is so sore! Not loving this feeling but like that my teeth are looking nicer. (I think they are!) It's really hard to tell by these pics. The lighting is horrible, I know. In fact, by looking at the pics, it actually looks like my teeth looked the whitest after the first day and duller afterwards. I didn't touch up the photos and I tried to do them in the same amount of lighting each day (in my bathroom). In person, they do look a lot whiter though!
This is by far one of the most painful product reviews that I have participated in. Hopefully this will be the last painful one as well. I love doing product reviews, in case you couldn't tell, but I would also love for them not to cause me any pain!
My advice to those of you who also decide to try this product: Make sure to have some Sensodyne or other sensitive toothpaste for your teeth around. You might just need it everyday that you use this product and maybe for a few days afterwards. I noticed that my most painful day was actually the first two and after using the toothpaste in the morning, afternoon, and evening for the next few days, the pain was not as intense. It does help soothe those gums a bit!

Seriously.

Hello! Influenster here..
ReplyDeleteWe think the results look great! We are sorry to hear that you are feeling some discomfort, but we wanted to let you know that it common and temporary when using a whitening product. We would like to share this message from Crest in case you wanted some more information.
"Sensitivity from tooth whitening is common and varies from person to person, and can be expected when using peroxide-based tooth whiteners like Crest® Whitestrips. We wanted to make sure you were aware that tooth sensitivity is a temporary side effect of any whitening treatment, does not cause any permanent damage to your teeth, and should go away soon, if it hasn’t already. If you notice continued tooth whitening sensitivity, consult with your dental professional."
We are looking forward to your final review!
Thanks,
