BzzAgent Review on Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dressing

Like I've said before, yes I'm a BzzAgent and so I recieve a variety of 100% products in the mail that I then review online. My latest bzzkit, as you can see from the photo above, was for Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dressing.

Have I tried this dressing before? Yes, of course. I loved it then and I love it now. This kit came with a small bottle of Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dressing, 2 packets of the seasoning mix, a magnetic Grocery List pad for the fridge, a recipe card and an official Bzz Guide. For some reason, no coupons came with it...maybe it was an accident? Or maybe no coupons were meant to come this time. I'm not sure, but no big deal.

So, I checked out the recipe card, which somehow mysteriously disappeared (perhaps my little boy found it and put it somewhere...)  and there was a recipe for Ranch Broiled Chicken, and I think also a recipe for Ranchified popcorn.

I decided to make the Ranch Broiled Chicken for my family one night. The marinade recipe on the card called for:
  • 1 packet of seasoning
  • 1 lb of chicken (I used a few skinless chicken breasts)
  • 1 tbs of red wine vinegar
  • 3 tbs of olive oil (I didn't have any and don't like to use much oil. I used 2 tbs of canola oil that we had in the pantry)
  • a little bit of pepper and salt (I don't add salt to any of my recipes but I did add 1/4 ts of black pepper, 1/4 ts of crushed red pepper)
I mixed the marinade together coated the chicken with it and let it sit in the fridge overnight. The next day instead of putting it under the broiler, I preheated the oven to 375 degrees, and then placed the chicken in there to bake for about 20 mins on each side.

It came out nice, tender, and delicious! We loved it. I also made a few sides. We are big veggie lovers so I made green beans with fresh tomatoes sauteed with slices of onions, southern pit baked beans, a little bit of veggie pasta with veggie pasta sauce and some wild rice.

It was such a great meal and I would love to try and make some of this marinated chicken again in the future.
We do eat some big servings of food but we also both workout often. Most of our meals consist of a variety of veggies and we only eat fish or chicken. (Ryan occasionally has tiny servings of red meat, but I haven't eaten red meat in about 5 years and don't plan on going back)
